VidLabs Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of VidLabs (the "App"), operated by VidLabs ("VidLabs", "we", "us"). By using VidLabs you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Account

You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be 13+ to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

• No scraping at scale, reselling outputs, or wrapping our API as your own.
• No analyzing content you don't have the right to use.
• No abuse, spam, harassment, or illegal content.
• No reverse engineering or attacking the service.

4. Content rights

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the service. Outputs (transcripts, scripts) are yours to use; you're responsible for how you use them and for respecting third-party copyrights.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Pro plans start with a 3-day free trial — we only charge after the 3rd day ends. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime in Settings — access continues until the end of the paid period. Purchases made on our website are processed by Stripe; purchases made in our iOS app are billed by Apple via the App Store.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

7. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranty. AI outputs may be inaccurate — verify before publishing.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

9. AI-generated content

VidLabs uses artificial intelligence (large language models and related ML systems) to power features like video analysis, transcript generation, script writing, the in-app chat assistant, and recommendations. When you interact with these features you are interacting with an AI, not a human. AI outputs can be inaccurate, biased, or outdated — you are responsible for reviewing and editing anything you publish or act on. Do not submit sensitive personal, medical, legal, or financial information into AI features.

10. User-generated content & Section 230

VidLabs lets you submit URLs, text, prompts, and other content ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the right to submit it. VidLabs is an "interactive computer service" under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230) and is not the publisher or speaker of User Content. We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, edit, or remove User Content that violates these Terms.

11. Copyright & DMCA

VidLabs respects intellectual property and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe content available through VidLabs infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it can be found; (4) your contact info; (5) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized; and (6) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

We will respond to valid notices in accordance with the DMCA. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Counter-notices may be sent to the same agent.

12. Direct messages, group chats & community content

VidLabs includes social features such as direct messages, group chats, and creator profiles. You are solely responsible for what you send, post, or share. You agree not to send content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, involves minors in an inappropriate way, promotes self-harm, infringes someone's rights, contains spam or unsolicited promotions, or attempts to defraud or deceive other users. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted; see our Privacy Policy for how message data is stored and accessed.

13. Block & report policy — zero tolerance for abuse

Every user profile, message thread, and group chat includes block and report controls. Blocking a user prevents them from messaging you, appearing in your Near You results, or joining chats with you. Reports are reviewed by our team; we may remove content, warn, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, pose a safety risk. Users found to be sending objectionable content, harassing others, or engaging in abuse may be removed within 24 hours of a report and are subject to permanent ban without refund. Repeat or severe violations result in immediate termination. Serious threats or illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement.

14. Location-based features & offline interactions

Near You and local group chats use the coarse city, state, and country you provide to help you discover other creators. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what location data is collected. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, whether online or offline. VidLabs does not vet, verify, or endorse any user. We are not responsible for any meetups, in-person events, exchange of contact information, transactions, or any harm arising from user-to-user interactions. Use common sense, never share sensitive information (address, financial info, IDs) with users you don't trust, and meet in public if you choose to meet at all.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Delaware, USA.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app.
